Grilled Spice Rubbed Chicken Drumsticks

This is an incredibly fast weeknight meal you can throw together in a matter of minutes.  On the grill, the meat comes out flavorful and juicy on the inside, with an interesting charred spicy crust.  There isn’t even that much I can say about it, it’s so easy!

Combine dried oregano, chile powder, paprika, ground cumin, garlic powder, salt and pepper.  Rub the chicken evenly with the spice mixture.

Preheat grill and grill drumsticks until golden on each side, about 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes.

Serve with some corn on the cob, fresh summer salad, or grilled asparagus.  Diet friendly, to boot!


  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon chile powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
